The famous, viral TikTok Cinnamon Rolls with heavy cream are even better than Cinnabon! These TikTok Cinnamon Rolls made with canned cinnamon rolls in a tube, a homemade buttery cinnamon drizzle, and a cream cheese frosting are the easiest cinnamon rolls you will ever make!
Ok, I jumped on the trend. I saw these ridiculously easy cinnamon rolls on TikTok and I drove myself straight to the store to grab the ingredients and try them out! They were an absolute hit in our home and I was blown away by them. They were so ooey gooey with the extra buttery cinnamon drizzle and cream cheese frosting.
Did I tell you how easy they are? No making homemade dough, rolling it out, letting it rise, etc. It took me 5-10 minutes to make these, minus the baking time. These are beyond easy when you have company over and want to impress them but don’t feel like spending hours and hours in the kitchen!
What makes TikTok Cinnamon Rolls Special?
TikTok Cinnamon Rolls start out with canned cinnamon rolls in a tube. You place the cinnamon rolls into a baking pan and then drizzle with heavy cream so it coats the bottom of the pan. To make them extra buttery and have extra cinnamon flavor, you drizzle on a cinnamon glaze before baking. Bake them until golden brown and then top with a gourmet cream cheese frosting. They are the easiest cinnamon rolls you can ever make!
How to make the TikTok Cinnamon Rolls taste more like Cinnabon:
I made some tweaks and changes to make them taste more gourmet and more homemade tasting. I made a homemade cinnamon buttery glaze made with butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon and drizzled it all over the cinnamon rolls before baking. This gave the cinnamon rolls an extra amount of decadence. Also, I added cream cheese to the canned frosting to make it creamier and to offset the sweetness.
I tried to find the original creator of the TikTok Cinnamon Rolls but with zero luck. If you know who created this recipe, send me a message so I can give credit where credit is due.
What ingredients are in the Famous TikTok Cinnamon Rolls:
- Two cans of Jumbo Cinnamon Rolls
- Heavy Cream
- Butter
- Brown Sugar
- Cinnamon
- Cream Cheese
- Powdered Sugar
What type of Canned Cinnamon Rolls should I use?
I suggest using the Jumbo Pillsbury or Trader Joe’s Canned Cinnamon Rolls in the refrigerator section of your grocery store. I suggest using the jumbo-sized cinnamon rolls to make them more like Cinnabon.
Do I have to use Heavy Cream in the TikTok Cinnamon Rolls?
Yes! Heavy Cream is so important because they keep in the moisture and the cinnamon rolls just soak in the heavy cream, which makes them just melt in your mouth. You don’t want to substitute with anything like milk since there isn’t enough fat content and it will just make the cinnamon rolls soggy.
What can I do to make the Cinnamon Rolls Canned Frosting taste better?
The Canned Frosting that comes with canned cinnamon rolls is pretty lackluster. I love to add cream cheese to offset the sweetness and add some creaminess to the glaze. It makes the cinnamon roll frosting creamier and thicker and tastes so much better!

Ingredients
- (2) 5-pack Jumbo Cinnamon Rolls *
- 3/4 to 1 cup Heavy Cream (to coat the bottom of the baking dish)
Brown Sugar Cinnamon Glaze:
- 6 Tablespoons Salted Butter
- 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
- 2 teaspoons Cinnamon
Cream Cheese Frosting:
- Frosting Packets (come included with rolls)
- 3 ounces Cream Cheese (softened)
- 1/3 cup Powdered Sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9 x 13 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
- Break open the cinnamon rolls tubes and separate each roll and place into the baking dish. You want to keep them relatively close together so when the rolls rise in the oven, they rise vertical, not horizontal.
- Pour heavy cream all around the rolls, making sure that every part of the cinnamon rolls are surrounded by heavy cream. You can use 3/4 to 1 cup of heavy cream.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter in the microwave. Add brown sugar and cinnamon and stir until smooth. Drizzle brown sugar mixture onto the tops of the rolls. Cover with foil.
- Bake for 30-38 minutes or until a light golden brown color and the centers are cooked through. This baking time may range depending on the amount of heavy cream used,, if you used jumbo or regular rolls, and the accuracy of the temperature of your oven.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for 15 minutes before adding the frosting.
To make Cream Cheese Frosting:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the two frosting packets from the cinnamon roll tubes. Add cream cheese and powdered sugar and whip until light and creamy. If you want a thinner glaze, add 1 Tablespoon of milk.
- Spread the frosting all over the rolls and serve once the cinnamon rolls have set-up.
Notes
- I suggest buying the jumbo sized cinnamon rolls to most resemble a Cinnabon. You can find Pillsbury Jumbo Cinnamon Rolls in the refrigerator section of your grocery store. I recipe tested with Trader Joe's Jumbo Cinnamon Rolls and I loved them!

I’ve made these many times using half and half and they turn out great. IF they are turning out soggy it is probably due to adding to much liquid overall.
this is the question i was looking for! i have half and half but no heavy cream…thanks!
Delicious! I did not add powdered sugar to the frosting and cream cheese, and my family loved them! Also, I did not wait for them to cool to frost them because I wanted them warm. Thank you!
I have them in the oven now. The 2 cans did not fill up the 9×13 pan. Spaces all around. Maybe I should have flattened them a bit?
First time making these and OMG they were amazing. It made like a carmal sauce.
Can you make these with 1 can of jumbo cinnamon rolls and just use half of the other ingredients? How long would you bake them?
I only had one can on hand and did that. I put them in a round cake pan. There was a little space left in the center, so I placed a silicone muffin cup in the opening. It still turned out great. Make them. You won’t regret it.
That’s why I do… one can in an 8×8 pan for 30 minutes at 350. Turn out perfect. In addition to the heavy cream I pour on top, I melt 4 TBSP (1/2 stick of butter), about 1/2 cup brown sugar, and 1/3 (or more) pecans… then I pour that on top as well and bake. SO easy and delish!
A friend made these for me today and they are WONDERFUL ! Has you tried adding nuts or raisins ? If so, where/how do you suggest adding them. THANKS for sharing this recipe !
Thank you so much for the kind comment, Wanda. I appreciate it! You could add the raisins by pressing them into the cinnamon roll dough before you add the brown sugar mixture and heavy cream. Then I would bake the cinnamon rolls and then once you remove them from the oven, I would sprinkle with the nuts so they stay crunchy. Sounds so yummy!
OMG! These might be the best thing I have ever put in my mouth. These cinammon rolls taste gourmet and they lasted .2 seconds in our house!
They are wonderful I would like to as a question if I was to cut each cinnamon roll into 4’s then put into a 9 × 13 or a bunt pan would it work?? Would it taste as wonderful as leaving them whole?? P.S.S Could I add nuts??
Wow, thank you, Lily! I am so glad you loved the TikTok cinnamon rolls recipe. Thank you so much for trying them out!
I made these yesterday. OH MY GOODNESS CLOSE YOUR EYES DELICIOUS! I tried one last night. I’m very picky about food/desserts and am my worst critic. I know food is a totally subjective thing. What I love, someone else might hate or be ‘meh’. These cinnamon rolls were so ‘close your eyes’ good. I did change up a few things. I probably added 40% more of the Butter/Brown Sugar/Cinnamon mixture to the rolls and didn’t use the enclosed frosting. I made my own cream cheese (3oz.) 7 tblspns butter, couple tablespoons milk & 1/2 tspn vanilla & 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar. Moist, the extra filling made them so much more flavor punched & the frosting added to the experience. Geez, I sound like I’m describing a vacation. Soooo good. Didn’t even feel guilty cuz they aren’t all that big
I love it, Linda! And I love the idea of making your own cinnamon roll frosting from scratch. I bet it tasted even better! Thank you so much for trying out this recipe.
Melissa, I made these naughty Cinnamon Rolls last night after I got your recipe. They were very good. I used a little more heavy cream in mine and a lot more butter and brown sugar and Cinnamon. They were really gooey like the ones you get at the Fair. I tossed my roll a couple of times in the Cream so it would be wet all over, then I doctored them up. 2 tbsp brown sugar on top of each one and a big pat of butter on top of the brown sugar and then dusted them again with the Cinnamon. cooked mine for about 35 minutes, and they came out so big and nicely browned. I made my frosting and slathered them. We enjoyed them a lot. Way better than just right out of the can…..
You are AMAZING, Donna! I love that you already made them. What a rockstar! Thank you for being such a great support. I appreciate you so much. Have a great weekend! — Melissa
I told my husband this recipe cracks the code. When you’re craving one of those over the top cinnamon rolls from like Cinnabon or something along those lines… this is the recipe! It’s absolutely delicious. How do you store these? Are they okay left out or do they need to be refrigerated?
These are amazing!!! Wondering what would be the best way to store them so they stay amzing!
Well these sound amazing….I can’t wait to try them. I’m on my way to the store right now anyway so I’m picking up my stuff to make these, they sound so good and easy to make. This is a recipe you can make anytime and on any day…..I just made 4 dozen of your Rocky Road Cookies and they are so good. Everyone at my son’s Engine House really loved them.
Thank you so much Melissa for all the GREAT recipes you send to all of us. I have had so many compliments on your recipes.
Haven’t rated yet as I will be making these within the week. I bake a lot, and you said not to add frosting until rolls are “set up”. I’m assuming that means cooled for a certain amount of time so the frosting doesn’t melt into the rolls? How long would you suggest? With cakes, I typically wait to frost until completely room temp. (anywhere from 1-2 hours). Thanks.
Hi Linda! Love the question. I waited about 30 minutes for them to set up before adding the frosting. I didn’t want it to turn into a glaze. You could wait longer to ensure the frosting is nice and thick. I think 1-2 hours would be sufficient. I hope you love them!
Will be making tomorrow. I normally LOVE more frosting, filling. Do you think it would be overkill to add 50% of the cinnamon filling & frosting? Thanks!
