Miracle One Hour White Bread is a homemade, made-from-scratch bread recipe made in one hour.

There’s nothing quite like homemade baked bread. I recently discovered that making homemade bread doesn’t have to be a long, time-consuming process. It can actually be easy! You can actually make delicious homemade bread in no time at all. It is a miracle!

I told you about my darling friend, Stephanie’s daughter, Hayley, who is quite the cook like her Mom.ย  She put together a cookbook of her family recipes and this is one of them. I wondered if you could truly make bread in less than one hour and was convinced after trying this recipe. I love that my kids can even make this bread and use it for their lunches at school.

I am sharing tips and tricks on how you can make homemade bread at home in 60 minutes.ย  You are going to impress some people big time!

Tips for making Miracle One Hour Homemade White Bread:

  1. ย Let your YEAST PROOF. ย The key is to use very warm water (about 110 degrees). Adding sugar to the yeast helps it proof even faster. Let the yeast proof for at least 5 minutes. Remember to always use fresh yeast. You will know the yeast is working when it starts to form a creamy foam on the surface.
  2. Use BREAD FLOUR.ย Bread Flour has a higher gluten and protein content so it will create a chewier and allows the bread to rise even higher.
  3. Use a STAND MIXER. This bread recipe is easiest with a stand mixer such as a Bosch mixer. You can find a good deal on a Bosch mixer, by clicking HERE. This is a huge time saver as you knead the bread for 5 minutes in the mixer. It saves you from doing it yourself! If you don’t own a stand mixer, you can knead the bread dough by hand.
  4. Let RISE in a WARM PLACE.ย This expedites the rising process. If you live in a very cold climate, you can always set the oven to about 200 degrees and let the bread rise for approximately 20 minutes or until double in size. Here are my favorite loaf pans.
  5. BAKE until GOLDEN BROWN. Heat the oven to 350 degrees and bake until golden on the outside. Remove from oven and spread butter over top of loaves to give moisture and shine.

* Once you remove the hot homemade bread from the oven, remove from pans and spread with butter and jam.

Tried this recipe today and it turned out wonderful and delicious. I don’t have a stand mixer so I tried mixing it in my bread machine and it worked great! Thanks for the awesome recipe ๐Ÿ™‚

Excellent, easy recipe! I made both loaves into cinnamon swirl bread. Once dough rose I divided into two, semi rolled out each loaf and spread butter then added brown sugar and cinnamon, rolled up and popped each into their pan. Soooo good! Iโ€™m taking a loaf over to my Mum this afternoon.
Thanks for sharing this excellent recipe!

  3. I have a question. I have not made this yet but I was just wondering about the nutrition information what the serving size is? Is it the typical per slice or by weight? My husband is on a sodium diet and we have been searching for a bread that tastes good and is low in sodium. It is usually one or the other, itโ€™s either it tastes really good and is high sodium or hey itโ€™s low in sodium and taste like your eating a piece of paper. My husband loves bread and pizza we have also been looking for a low sodium pizza dough. Sorry to rambleโ€ฆ So if you have an idea of what the serving size would be? Or to anything else I mentioned I look forward to hearing from you.

    1. You could try adding some nutritional yeast to the recipe as opposed to salt. It has zero sodium and provides flavour. It is inactive yeast so it wonโ€™t impact the rise. Iโ€™m unsure of how much to use but Iโ€™d probably start with a tablespoon and see how it goes. I just tried this recipe today and itโ€™s keeper!

  4. Can you use all purpose flour instead of bread flour and would it be the same amount. Iโ€™ve been looking for an easy recipe this sounds like it would be easy . Thanks for info.

  5. So easy so good! I finally got around to trying this recipe a little ways. My boys wanted French toast for dinner, but all we had was multigrain bread. I donโ€™t know about you, but if Iโ€™m going to have French toast, it is not going to be on multigrain bread. I remembered this recipe and went for it. We all loved it. It was awesome plain and the French toast was delicious!! Iโ€™ve made it several times since๐Ÿ˜‹

Sooooo good and was a perfect pairing for this fall’s first soup night. Perfect for fresh week-night home-baked bread! Followed the recipe exactly using a stand mixer but kneaded by hand for 5 minutes, too. Baked up beautifully!! I can’t vouch for how well it keeps because our little family of 3 ate both loaves in two days. Oops! Can’t wait to make it again.

  7. I can,t wait to try this bread, can someone tell how sweet it is or if it tastes sweet at all.It is just the recipe I need!!

I make all of our bread and instead of 4 hours this 1 hour recipe is better! Itโ€™s light and airy and wonderful! I wonder how it will come out in my pullman. I will try it.

      1. If you check the top of the recipe, on the right side, it gives you the option to double and it automatically calculates new measurements.
