Crack Dip Ingredients:
What is in this Million Dollar Dip aka Crack Dip?
This addictive Crack Dip is a creamy, savory mix of tangy ranch, crispy bacon, and two cheeses, balanced with a smooth cream cheese and sour cream base. The richness of the cheese is offset by the crunch of fresh green onions, while the salty bacon adds a crispy contrast. It’s easy to make, endlessly customizable, and perfect for dipping with crunchy chips or crisp vegetables. Once you make it, you’ll understand why it’s called Crack Dip—it’s hard to stop eating!
- Cream Cheese
- Sour Cream: I suggest using full-fat sour cream
- Mayonnaise
- Ranch Dressing Powder: You can find this in a packet (Hidden Valley Ranch) or in a plastic bottle in the dressing aisle. It is the DRIED ranch powder.
- Cheddar Cheese
- Parmesan Cheese
- Bacon: Use crispy bacon and add just before serving for extra crispy bacon.
- Green Onions
- Pickled Jalapenos
Optional: For more flavor, add a 4-ounce can of chopped green chilies
Cook the bacon until perfectly crispy.
The crispy bacon adds both flavor and texture, so it’s best to cook it until very crisp.
How to make Million Dollar Dip:
- Cook the Bacon. I suggest cooking the bacon until perfectly crispy.
- Prepare the base: In a large bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise until smooth and creamy, about 3-4 minutes. Scrape the sides of the bowl halfway through.
- Add flavor: Stir in the ranch seasoning, cheddar cheese, parmesan cheese, cooked bacon, green onions, and pickled jalapenos until well combined. Set aside some of the bacon, cheese, and green onions to sprinkle on the top of the dip when serving.
- Season: Taste the dip and add pepper if needed.
- Chill or serve: For best results, refrigerate for at least an hour to let the flavors meld. However, you can serve it immediately if you are in a rush.
- Serve: Enjoy with tortilla chips, crackers, pretzels, or cut-up vegetables.
Let it Chill
Let it rest. If you have time, let the dip chill in the fridge for at least 1-2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to blend perfectly.
What to Serve with Crack Dip:
- Tortilla Chips: The saltiness and crunch of chips are the perfect contrast to the creamy dip.
- Crackers: Choose buttery or multigrain crackers. I love to use La Panzanella Croccantini crackers.
- Vegetables: Sliced carrots, cucumbers, celery, or bell peppers for a healthier dipping option.
- French Bread: Use sliced french bread for dipping or toast the bread and make crostini.
- Pretzels: Pairs perfectly with the rich flavors of the dip.
FAQ’s:

Crack Dip can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Be sure to stir it before serving.
